OPAL MATRIX RING – OOAK Piece
I saw this beautiful opal (with matrix or stone it is part of) and fell in love with the shape. The fine/pure silver bezel fits the stone perfectly. The band itself is made using a fold-form technique involving a rectangular piece of sterling silver with circular cutouts, which is then shaped into a band. The ring is folded onto itself very tightly and not soldered together. A fun and novel way to make a ring. The band also has a small semi-circular opening on either side of the stone. The top of the ring measures 3/4″ X 3/8″ (19mm x 9mm).
This is a OOAK ring in a US size 6. I can size it up to about a 6 1/2 if need be.
